School District Upgrades Classroom Security

PROBLEM
A K-12 school system wanted to increase door security at all of their locations while also staying within their budget.
SOLUTION
DH Pace presented an economical access control solution for the classroom doors as well as safe and code compliant locking systems. Since all of the locking hardware was being replaced with a single system, DH Pace also re-keyed the entire school district. Intelligent locksets with new hardware and a master key system were installed in more than 2,030 openings. These intelligent locks provide a full audit trail, lockdown at the classroom door, and a keyless solution for teachers.
DH Pace completed the entire project over the summer months so that classes weren’t impacted by the work. Following the installation, the school district decided to upgrade their surveillance cameras inside and outside as well and again called on DH Pace to perform the work.
By providing a solution for every opening in the district, DH Pace not only earned the initial phase of this project, but subsequent projects with the district as well. The school district now has standardized locking hardware, a standardized patented key system, as well as an intelligent lock on every door that has children in the room to provide increased security and peace of mind for students, staff, and visitors.
